Between the evening of July 5 and the morning of July 6, Tropical Storm Chantal brought unprecedented amounts of rainfall to our corner of central North Carolina. As the storm stalled over our counties, more than 10 inches of rain fell and flooded our nearby creeks, lakes, and rivers. The amount of property damage to Durham, Orange, and Alamance Counties and more is staggering — it all happened so fast. The Expedition School (T.E.S.) in nearby Hillsborough, N.C. in Orange County was hit especially hard as the Eno River poured through the elementary school where our daughter was set to start kindergarten in a few short weeks.
Furniture, technology, books, records and curricula, and supplies were decimated in the flood waters, which rose as high as 6 feet. However, everyone in our house is still looking forward to big kid school this fall — albeit a little later than we all planned. The good years we anticipate at T.E.S. begin with good days and that means doing the most we can to help the school rebuild.
To that end, I'm offering a short run of archival inkjet prints from my "Plateau" series available for purchase. 100% of sales will benefit The Expedition School of Hillsborough.
The prints are $50 and will be —
8" × 10" with a 1" white border
signed and numbered by me
produced on archival inkjet paper (Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag Paper)
shipped to you by mid-August
Thanks for your support in rebuilding and reshaping the educational future of my daughter and many others!
